All the letters are now available in High Resolution format. If you find a letter that you wish to download please look for it by filename. All filenames will match the lower resolution files as they are downloaded from the individual letter page. Please note that the files listed below are very large and must not be downloaded if you are on a modem. All these scans are copyright cwjournal.googlepages.com and no one may use these images for profit. They are available for your download but they may not be sold or used in a profit making venture without written consent from the site owner.

Like the letter index, the dated letters are named by their dates starting with the two digit year followed by the month then the date. February 14, 1863 would have a name of 630214 followed by "F" or "R" for front and rear of the letter if it has writing on both sides. If there are multiple letters with the same date they will be lettered A, B, C, and D for front and rear of letter 1 (A,B) and letter 2 (C,D)

All picture files are in JPEG format and low resolution due to restrictions on file sizes in my photo system. Some of the smaller files I will try to upgrade to better resolutions as time allows. They are still readable however. All scans are available in both high resolution and low resolution on CD with a collection of photos and links.
