These Maps have been downloaded from the Library of Congress and are available there also. Most of these maps are scanned from those used during or just after the war and reflect terrain and features as they relate to that period.

I have only uploaded a few of the maps available online and mainly those which relate to the letters in this site.

For more maps please browse the official US sites. There is a "FREE" viewer needed for these maps before they can be viewed. It is available from me HERE-Mr Sid Viewer or at the MrSID Viewer site Lizardtech. Once downloaded and saved, unzip the file and double-click the sid_win_viewer.exe file and follow installation instructions (or open and install instead of saving). This older viewer on my site is better than Lizardtech's browser add-on (my opinion). I have run it on Windows98 and XP and it works very well.

Please note that these files can be huge. The smallest is just under 300K in size but they can be up to 18MB. Don't try downloading those on anything other than a broadband high-speed connection. A modem will take days. I will upload more later. I suggest you save the target rather than just clicking the link. Sometimes clicking the link gives you a link to the Lizardtech site instead of opening the map. If you have any problems with these files please let me know.
